SANDBOCS really outdid themselves tonight! Congratulations to each
world changer- you have brought your vision, compassion, creativity,
kindness, and fun-loving spirits to each meeting, and tonight was the
clear result of your labor. It is time to rest for a month or two, and
think about goals for the year ahead. We will begin our meetings again
in September.
Until then, my heartfelt thank you to all of the SANDBOCS heroes, who
have brought renewed energy to my work and have reminded me to pay
attention to the world around me, always try to do what is right, learn
as much as I can when I don't know something, and speak up to
injustice.
Ms. Mack
June 12 marks the worldwide Global March Against Child Labor. Sadly, SANDBOCS can't make the trip to DC this year to join the events. Instead, we will host a community forum about child labor on June 17. Next year, DC, with a stop first at the United Nations to meet with representatives from the ILO. It is good to have a goal!
